Lucy Cotton

"It was the home of Lucy Cotton Thomas, a colorful personality better known as Lucy Cotton Thomas Ament McGraw Eristavi-Tchicherine, that last name bringing a touch of deposed Russian nobility to her collection of six husbands. He also brought a (self-proclaimed) title of "Prince"—or so her publicist said—and New York newspapers dutifully ran the photographs of their wedding in the Russian orthodox cathedral there, capturing the moment in the ritual when double crowns were exchanged."
