that last name bringing a touch of deposed Russian nobility
to her collection of six husbands. He also brought a

so her publicist said—and New York newspapers dutifully
ran the photographs of their wedding in the Russian
orthodox cathedral there, capturing the moment in the
ritual when double crowns were exchanged."
